To provide instruments, programming and support to sustain and foster underfunded music communities.
President and Founder
I am so excited to be living my dream of starting my own non-profit. This idea came out of my love for music and my mission to make a difference here in the US with our youth. Music was such an important part of my school experience. I played in our high school marching and concert bands. Started by playing the flute and ended up playing the sousaphone and tuba. I didn't realize at the time how lucky and blessed I was to have that opportunity as part of my school experience. My goal now is to work with musicians, community leaders, businesses and schools to help provide as many instruments and supplies to the classrooms, and with our newest project our nations veterans.
In my past career I worked in baseball (Orioles, Mets and the Bowie Baysox) and then spent a few years working doing marketing in corporate America. I am also sit on the Board of Directors for another fun organization called Mammojam and volunteer every summer as a camp councilor for the Mid-Atlantic Burn Camp.
I can’t list all of my favorite artists on here as we don’t have the space, but if you check out our lineups and our featured artists you can see whom some of my favorites are. I love everything from the Beatles and Eagles to local Baltimore artists like David Andrew Smith.
I currently work at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine and am finishing up my Masters in Non-Profit Management at UMUC.
I am so proud of what we've accomplished since we this idea began. Thank you for taking the time to check out what we do. Please join us in our mission to give the gift of music. We couldn't do this without your support!
Vice President and Manager of Special Events
Before joining Music 4 More, I lived a double life. I was like Clark Kent, except after leaving my job as a graphic designer I went to a show or on tour and didn't so much save the city from an evil attack.
Lack of super powers notwithstanding, I have been able to pull of some pretty great events over the years, like concerts, fashion shows and parties, and I and look forward to making some really great things happen with Music 4 More ("really" is far superior to "pretty", clearly). Also, if I did have to name a super power, it would be the ability to write forwards and backwards at the same time....so, I'm sure that will come in handy at some point.

MUSIC 4 MORE NAMED A FINALIST IN
TOYOTA’S 2012 100 CARS FOR GOOD PROGRAM
Toyota Donating 100 Cars to 100 Nonprofits in 100 Days –
Public to Choose the Winners on Facebook
Music 4 More Would Use New Toyota Vehicle to Help Transport
Instrument Donations in Baltimore
Baltimore, MD – June, 26, 2012 – Baltimore-based Music 4 More announced today that it has been selected as one of 500 nonprofit finalists in Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program, a major philanthropic initiative in which the automaker is giving 100 cars to 100 charities over the course of 100 days. Music 4 More was selected as a finalist from more than 4,000 applications nationwide.
Each day, beginning May 14, 2012, 100 Cars for Good will profile five finalists at www.100carsforgood.com. Individual members of the public will be able to vote for which ever nonprofit they think can do the most good with a new vehicle. The nonprofit with the most votes at the end of each day will win one of six Toyota models. Runners-up will each receive a $1,000 cash grant from Toyota.
MUSIC 4 MORE will be up for consideration on JULY 5, 2012 from 10 AM to 11:59PM EST.
“Everyone at Music 4 More is thrilled to have been selected as a finalist for the 2012 100 Cars for Good program,” said Deidra
Stevens, President of Music 4 More. “We’re grateful for this incredible opportunity to showcase the need for instruments in school music programs and hopefully win a car to help us increase our impact in Maryland. We hope everyone will help us spread the word now and, of course, will make time to visit www.100carsforgood.com on Thursday July 5 to vote for us. A new vehicle would really be a game changer for our ability to deliver instruments to programs in need.
“At Toyota, we appreciate what a significant impact a new car can have for nonprofits nationwide,” noted Michael Rouse, vice president of philanthropy for Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. “Toyota has donated more than half a billion dollars to nonprofits across the U.S. over the past 20 years, and 100 Cars for Good allows us to expand that commitment to local communities in important new ways. The 500 finalists are an extraordinary group, and we look forward to the public learning more about them.”
100 Cars for Good is the first initiative to directly engage the public to determine how Toyota’s philanthropic donations are awarded.

You can also follow us on Facebook.com/Music4more or Twitter.com/Music4more. For complete information on 100 Cars for Good and profiles of all 500 finalists, please visit www.100carsforgood.com.
Local residents are encouraged to support Music 4 More and their quest for a new Toyota Highlander. If Music 4 More receives the most votes and is awarded the vehicle, it will be used to help transport instrument donations.
A six-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty will also be provided for each vehicle, compliments of Toyota Financial Services.
